Bochnia Salt Mine Sutoris Hotel Health Centre Leisure Centre Archaeological Park Goetz Palace
The famous Okocim brewery in Brzesko was founded by John the Evangelist Goetz (1815-1893) in 1845. Immediately to the west of the brewery is the Goetz palace complex and park constructed at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The architecture and size are impressive: the palace was built in the neobaroque style and there are 254 rooms covering a total floor area of 5,594 square metres. The park occupies almost 35 acres. After World War II the palace and park were confiscated from the owners and allowed to deteriorate. They returned to private ownership in 2008.
Renovation is currently in progress to return the palace and park to their former glory.
