The Private Health Care Centre, part of the Bochnia Salt Mine Spa Complex Ltd. was created to treat two categories of patients.
The first category consists of people suffering from diseases of the upper and lower airways, such as:
These problems are treated by the subterraneotherapy method which is based upon special respiratory and gymnastic exercises carried out in the unique microclimate of the underground chambers in the Bochnia salt mine. The atmosphere within the mine is almost totally free of bacterial and other undesirable contaminants; the relative humidity is high (80%) and the temperature an almost constant 16ºC. The air contains a high burden of sodium chloride and beneficial compounds of calcium, magnesium and manganese. Treatment is carried out at level VI (250 metres underground) in the Ważyn and Mann chambers.
The second category consists of those patients suffering from neurological diseases, rheumatoid and motor system dysfunction.
The centre has physiotherapy rooms, a gymnasium, individual exercise rooms, hydrotherapy and massage provision. With such excellent facilities, plus a staff of highly-qualified specialists proficient in the latest techniques, we are able to provide patients with a wide range of treatments.
